Mean Drunk

If you've read George Daniel's "Strip Set" you know that he is a big fan of the Drunk 'n Disorderly pattern for chasing monster trout. It's a great pattern, but it doesn't scale up to Pike and Musky proportions, so unless you know of a source of 4"+ Mallard Flank and Polar Chenille some modifications are required!
I've spent the last 2 years tying and throwing out variations on the theme and have settled on this unscrupulous character. Featuring a magnum zonker tail and EP Foxy brush collar on the trailing hook, two XTackle Rattle Beads on the wiring harness, and a "Drunken" deer-hair head, this fly has crazy action and pushes a lot of water around. These are pretty buoyant, so I strongly recommend a sink tip line if you want to get them down in the water column, or you can splash it back topwater like some giant mutant Sneaky Pete.
Tied on a Partridge Universal Predator 6/0 for the head and a 2/0 Gamakatsu B10s for the trailing hook. They run about 7" and weigh 4-5 grams.
